Why should I use feminine hygiene products?

Feminine hygiene products can be used to keep your natural vaginal pH levels in balance. This reduces the risk of infections such as thrush or bacterial vaginosis (BV), and also reduces the risk of recurrence.

What is thrush?

Thrush is a common yeast infection experienced by women. You might notice a white, creamy discharge, sore, itchy sensation, and redness in the vulva. Although you might feel embarrassed it’s incredibly common, with 75% of women experiencing thrush at some point. 

Thrush is caused by an overgrowth of candida yeast in the vagina, disturbing the natural balance of vaginal pH levels. Using our feminine products helps to restore the pH balance in your vagina is a natural, gentle way to reduce the risk of thrush.

What is bacterial vaginosis?

Bacterial vaginosis (otherwise known as BV) is a common vaginal health condition. It occurs when there is an imbalance between healthy and unhealthy bacteria in the vagina. Symptoms include a white discharge, ‘fishy’ smell, and a burning sensation when urinating. 

How is bacterial vaginosis different to thrush?

Thrush is a yeast infection, whereas bacterial vaginosis is a condition caused by bacteria. They have very similar symptoms, although BV tends to produce a fishy smell.

How often should I use feminine hygiene products?

The frequency of use for FMNN products is specific to each product. We recommend reading the directions of use prior to usage to stay better informed.

However, our Refresh Her - Intimate Peach Gel Wash is recommended to be used daily for best results. It's strictly for external use only, and should avoid contact with the eyes.

Our Balance & Clean - Boric Acid Pops is best used after sex, post period or when wanting to refresh odour. If using to combat an infection, we suggest daily usage for a period of 7-14 days.

Can I use women’s hygiene products when I am on my periods?

Our Refresh Her - Intimate Peach Gel Wash and Balance & Clean - Boric Acid Pops can be used in conjunction with periods.

We recommend using our gel wash daily to ensure an odorless and refreshed feel.

Our Boric Acid Pops is best used post-period for an ultimate refresh to help combat concerns of odour.

Are your female hygiene products just for women?

FMNN is primarily focused on bridging the gap between better vaginal health whilst breaking the stigma behind feminine hygiene for females. We've developed safe, natural formulas for women to use as part of their routines.

Our Boric Acid Pops are inserted via the vagina, meaning these are designed for women. However, our Intimate Peach Gel Wash can be used by males if they want a refreshing and odorless experience.

Is it fragrance free?

FMNN products have been formulated to be fragrance free for best results and effectiveness in improving overall vaginal health.

Our Intimate Peach Gel Wash does have a natural Peach extract for a beautiful subtle smell. The best part is no artificial fragrance is added, so it’s 100% safe to use around the genital area.
